A Dream on Skis: Our First Experience Prize in Sölden!
The moment had finally arrived – our first experience prize became reality. Four young athletes travelled to Sölden to enjoy a truly special adventure. The prize was awarded to the fastest and the youngest child in the U8 and U10 categories, who had delivered outstanding performances in the SKIDS giant slalom races.
What awaited them exceeded all expectations.
In cooperation with the company Völkl, the children were able to enjoy an unforgettable day of skiing in Sölden. Throughout the day, they were accompanied by World Cup skier Sam Maes, who personally supported and coached the young athletes. In addition, each child received a brand-new complete set consisting of Dalbello ski boots, Völkl skis and bindings.
From the very first meeting, excitement and anticipation were clearly noticeable. After the official handover of the test equipment, the group headed straight to the slopes.
Training at World Cup Level
Turn by turn, the children followed their exceptional guide. With great patience and dedication, Sam Maes demonstrated technical exercises, provided individual advice and took time for each child. Even challenging weather conditions could not dampen the motivation – the joy of skiing remained at the heart of the experience at all times.
Personal Insights and Special Moments
During a shared lunch, Sam Maes spoke about his daily life on the World Cup circuit, giving the children fascinating insights into professional skiing. For the young athletes, these stories created truly memorable moments.
The emotional highlight of the day was the ceremonial presentation of the new ski equipment. Smiling faces and a sense of pride clearly showed how meaningful this experience was for the children.
A Special Thank You
Our sincere thanks go to Völkl and to Sam Maes for their support and for making this exceptional day in Sölden possible. Experiences like this demonstrate the enthusiasm, motivation and lasting value that youth skiing can offer.
Sprinty on Tour continues – and we are already looking forward to the next adventure.
