Winning together. Experiencing together.
After winning the tug-of-war competition at the SKIDS The Snow Festival 2026, the children of ASV Tscherms were rewarded with an unforgettable prize: three exciting days full of adventure, friendship and teamwork in Sterzing and on Rosskopf Mountain.
Friday – Behind the Scenes
The adventure began with a fascinating guided tour of LEITNER, PRINOTH and Demaclenko. The children discovered how modern ropeways are built and learned about the impressive technology behind snow groomers and snowmaking systems.
One participant said: “It was something completely new for us. It was amazing to see how all the different parts are made and assembled until they become a complete LEITNER lift. The best part was sitting inside a PRINOTH snow groomer and learning how it is operated.”
After lunch in the company restaurant, the group hiked to the Furl Hut. Following check-in, everyone enjoyed team fitness activities before spending a cosy evening together. Sleeping in a mountain hut with friends made the experience even more special.
Saturday – Adventure and Team Spirit
After breakfast, the group hiked towards Rosskopf, where one of the weekend’s highlights was waiting: the alpine summer toboggan run.
The children’s favourite moment?
“The coolest part of the whole weekend was riding the summer toboggan. It was so much fun!”
After lunch at Sterzinger Haus, a thunderstorm rolled in. Instead of spoiling the day, it created one of the funniest memories of the trip as the girls started dancing in the rain while everyone laughed together.
The evening ended with a barbecue and a friendly tug-of-war competition between the winning SKIDS teams. Everyone gave their best, but fair play, friendship and having fun together were what really mattered.
Sunday – An Early Morning Worth Waking Up For
Although the alarm clock rang around 5:00 a.m., everyone was excited for the sunrise hike.
While the valley was still covered in mist, the group enjoyed a breathtaking sunrise high above the clouds. Breakfast at the Wishing Bell, accompanied by a sunrise concert, made this magical morning even more memorable.
After hiking to the mountain station and taking the cable car back down, the children spent the afternoon relaxing at the Balneum swimming pool before returning home with countless wonderful memories.
More Than Just a Prize
The SKIDS Summer Teamdays were much more than a reward for winning a competition. They were three unforgettable days filled with friendship, adventure, outdoor activities and team spirit.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all partners who made this experience possible, especially LEITNER, PRINOTH, Demaclenko, the Furl Hut, Rosskopf and all the dedicated organisers and supervisors.
We are already looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the next SKIDS The Snow Festival!
