The kickoff on April 1 is all about training: warming up together on the race slope and enjoying the first taste of the festival atmosphere.
On April 2, the participating ski clubs will parade festively through the old town of Sterzing before the ski festival is officially opened.
Highlights on the Slope:
On April 3, the giant slalom takes center stage, demanding speed, technique, and plenty of concentration. Off the slopes, there’s plenty of fun planned as well: a pasta party, tug-of-war, and activity stations in the Sterzing triple gym ensure there’s never a dull moment.
On April 4, the parallel slalom follows, where teamwork and camaraderie are key – athletic skill is just as important as working together.
For All Young Talents:
Up to 800 children and young people in categories U8 to U16 can participate. Registration is now open, and already 380 children from 5 nations have signed up.
Great Achievements Rewarded with Special Experiences:
The winning teams of the parallel slalom will enjoy an exclusive ski day with a behind-the-scenes look at a World Cup race. The winners of the giant slalom can look forward to a ski camp with professional athletes – including valuable training tips and personal interaction. The best ski club will experience special team days during the Women’s Ski World Cup at Kronplatz, with a unique World Cup atmosphere and unforgettable moments.
Celebrating Skiing Together:
“SKIDS is more than just a race – it’s an international winter festival for children that ignites excitement every year. The organization is already in full swing, supported by WSV Sterzing and ASV Ridnaun.
Special thanks also go to the Sterzing Tourist Board and the entire Rosskopf ski area team. We look forward to welcoming many familiar and new faces in 2026!” says Manfred Mölgg on behalf of the entire organizing committee.
